The Inductive Sensors team in Cambridge, UK, embraced the spirit of giving by joining the “Delivering Joy” campaign in partnership with Dunelm, the UK’s leading home furnishing retailer.
Now in its sixth year, this initiative ensures that no one goes without a gift during the holidays. Working closely with local charities, schools, and care homes, Dunelm connects generous shoppers with individuals in need: from children to elderly adults. This year, the program aims to deliver more than 260,000 gifts across the UK.
Every participating Dunelm store displays a “Delivering Joy Christmas Tree” adorned with tags listing gift wishes, ranging from snug socks and blankets to toys and goodies. Shoppers select a tag off the tree, purchase or create the requested gift, and return it to the store. Dunelm ensures every gift is reaches its recipient in time for Christmas, and they make sure to fulfil any unclaimed tags.
Inspired by this initiative, one of our Cambridge team members suggested our participation, and the entire team rallied behind the idea. Everyone selected tags from a local Dunelm tree and provided gifts to brighten the holidays for people in our community. Adam Freshney, Materials Technician, and Cheryl Stevens, Production Operator, represented the team in person, delivering gifts and spreading joy this season.
While answering a single gift request may seem small, each tag represents a real wish, and we believe fulfilling it makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Through NovantaCARES, each employee receives one paid day annually to volunteer with nonprofit organizations. Especially during this season, we’re proud to see our teams using this gift of time to serve our communities.
A big thank you to our team for sharing holiday cheer and supporting our community!
