Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive (as standard)
More than just a program
…it’s how we work.
We strive to create a diverse workforce that reflects the places where we work and live. Our employees have diverse backgrounds at every level of our organization, including historically underrepresented talent. Our goal is to cultivate a welcoming, diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture where all employees experience a sense of belonging and are lifelong learners.
We’re proud to hire and promote the best talent regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or disability status.
How our employees are engaged in DEI
Our Culture Council is comprised of employees with diverse identities, backgrounds, and job positions from various business units. The Council provides governance on our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and working teams, advises the Novanta Leadership Team, and helps execute our DEI initiatives.
Our ERGs increase our employees’ sense of belonging and enable positive work experiences. You’ll be free to share your expertise and ideas in a collaborative environment. Through social and networking groups, you can find opportunities to foster connections across the globe, participate in local activities, and take part in our many sustainability programs.

“I arrived from Chile to Germany one year ago, seeking new experiences. Novanta gave me my first professional opportunity, and I could not be happier. I’m very proud of where I come from, and at Novanta, I’m able to share my cultural background as well as learn about the background of my colleagues.”
NovantaCARES: giving back to our communities
We strongly encourage employees to give back to the community in which they live and work. That’s why we set up our NovantaCARES community volunteering program where all employees receive one fully paid day off per year to volunteer at non-profit organizations. Together as a team, we’re working towards making the world a better place.
