Strong organizations are built not only through business performance, but through the ways employees contribute to the communities around them.
In May, employees from our Shared Services organization participated in two volunteer initiatives supporting youth programs and veteran services through hands-on community engagement efforts.
The first project brought employees together at the YMCA Boys & Girls Club, where volunteers helped improve outdoor and recreational spaces used by children and families. Employees participated in facility improvement projects including painting picnic tables, refreshing poolside flooring and assisting with outdoor repairs.
A second volunteer initiative supported the VA Produce Market, where employees helped organize and distribute fresh produce to veterans and their families. Volunteers assisted with sorting produce, preparing distribution bags and helping ensure a smooth and efficient experience for community members attending the event.
Across both projects, employees from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Tax, Cost Accounting and SEC Reporting worked together to support organizations making a meaningful difference in their communities.
These volunteer efforts reflect the value of creating opportunities for employees to connect beyond daily work responsibilities while supporting causes that strengthen local communities.
As we continue building One Novanta, community engagement remains an important part of how we foster collaboration, teamwork and purpose across our global organization.
