Volunteerism has the power to strengthen communities while bringing people together around a shared purpose. On June 26, I saw that firsthand as 73 employees from our site in Přelouč, Czech Republic, participated in our first Volunteer Day, supporting seven projects across the region.

Our employees dedicated their time to a variety of causes, including environmental clean-up initiatives, animal rescue centers, community organizations, and the UNESCO-listed National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem. Volunteers helped maintain historic orchards and parkland, transported donated household supplies for families in need, improved public spaces, and supported organizations that play an important role in our local communities.
While the projects were diverse, they all shared a common goal: creating a positive impact. Throughout the day, I watched employees enthusiastically contribute their skills and energy to causes that support people, animals, and the environment. The experience demonstrated how meaningful volunteer efforts can be when individuals come together with a shared commitment to helping others.

Our first Volunteer Day also highlighted the strong culture of community engagement that exists within our site. The outstanding participation and dedication shown by employees reflects a genuine desire to make a difference beyond the workplace.
With 76% of our annual volunteering goal already achieved, we are building strong momentum for the remainder of the year. I am incredibly grateful to every employee who participated and helped make this event such a success. Together, we are creating a positive impact in the communities where we live and work while strengthening the culture that connects us as One Novanta.
