When Riverpoint officially joined our company, we knew Day One should be more than an announcement. It should be a celebration.
Riverpoint has built an impressive business through innovation and a culture of continuous improvement. Day One was an opportunity to celebrate those achievements and recognize the talented people behind them.
Equally important, they’ve built it by staying close to customers and understanding how their technologies help improve patient outcomes.

Starting with Listening
Acquisitions are often discussed in terms of strategy and business value. Those things matter, yet as we prepared to welcome Riverpoint employees, our focus was on the people behind the business.
We thought about what it would feel like to arrive at work and suddenly be part of a new organization. Alongside the excitement of new opportunities often comes uncertainty. We wanted to create an experience that made employees feel welcomed and optimistic about the future.
One of the most important decisions we made was to listen before we led.

Throughout the planning process and on Day One itself, employees had opportunities to ask questions and engage directly with leaders. We were committed to answering every question because every question represented someone seeking clarity or reassurance.
That commitment extended beyond the formal presentations. Leaders spent time meeting with employees and gathering feedback, learning more about what mattered most to them. We wanted to understand their questions and hear their ideas, so we could learn how to best support them during the transition.
What we heard was encouraging. Employees were curious and optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Many were excited about the resources and possibilities that come with being part of a larger organization while continuing to serve customers with the same dedication that has fueled Riverpoint’s success.

Discovering Common Ground
As we spent time with Riverpoint employees, we were struck by how naturally our cultures align.
Both organizations are driven by innovation and customer focus, with a desire to solve meaningful challenges. Across both companies, employees embrace change and move quickly, continuously looking for better ways to serve customers.
Most importantly, we share a strong sense of purpose.
Riverpoint develops minimally invasive surgical technologies in close partnership with leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), helping them bring innovative solutions to surgeons and patients around the world. That approach aligns closely with Novanta’s mission of partnering with customers to engineer technologies that enable better performance, precision and outcomes.
Our shared purpose makes this next chapter especially exciting.

Building the Future Together
The most memorable part of Day One wasn’t a presentation slide or a celebration banner.
It was seeing employees gather together, ask questions, share stories, and begin building relationships. We watched people begin to imagine what we could accomplish together.
The success of an acquisition isn’t measured only by integration milestones or financial results. It’s also measured by the strength of the relationships we build, the experiences we create for employees, and our ability to continue delivering exceptional value for customers.
Day One marked the beginning of that journey.
We’re excited to welcome Riverpoint and even more excited about what we can accomplish together.
