Just a few months ago, many conversations about our acquisition of Riverpoint Medical centered on the acquisition itself. People wanted to understand what the future would look like and what opportunities lay ahead, along with how our organizations would come together.
During a recent visit to Riverpoint in Portland, Oregon, I was encouraged by how quickly those conversations have evolved.
Alongside Sarah Betadam, Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer; Marcy Meditz, SVP Finance; and Todd Gillick, VP of Talent Acquisition, I spent time meeting employees, touring the facility, and learning more about the work taking place across the organization. What stood out most was not the integration process itself. It was the growing spirit of partnership already taking shape.

A particular highlight was meeting Riverpoint’s latest High Five award winners, employees recognized by their peers for going above and beyond. Representing teams across Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, Research and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Human Resources, they shared stories of collaboration, problem-solving, and their commitment to excellence.
Those conversations reinforced an important belief: The most meaningful opportunities created by an acquisition do not happen on paper. They happen when talented people connect and exchange ideas, discovering new ways to solve challenges together.
Throughout the visit, we saw clear alignment between our companies. Both organizations share a commitment to innovation, quality, customer success, and continuous improvement. That common foundation is what makes this partnership so compelling and creates opportunities that neither organization could achieve alone.
We also had the opportunity to tour the facility and meet with employees across engineering, operations, and research and development. Seeing the team’s capabilities firsthand reinforced the depth of expertise and ingenuity that Riverpoint brings to our broader organization.
While there is still much to learn from one another, I left the visit with tremendous confidence in what we can accomplish together. The focus has already begun shifting from integration to collaboration, and that is where the greatest potential lies.
By building relationships, sharing knowledge, and combining our strengths, we are creating a stronger future together, one that benefits employees, customers, and ultimately the people who rely on the technologies we help enable.
