Earth Day is an opportunity to turn awareness into action and to reinforce our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community impact.
This year, the team at our Apex, North Carolina, site embraced that opportunity by hosting a NovantaCARES volunteer event that brought employees together around a shared goal of environmental stewardship. The event created space for individuals from across the organization to step away from their daily routines and engage in hands-on activities that directly benefited their surroundings.

More than 115 employees participated in the initiative, working collaboratively to improve the campus environment. Over the course of the day, volunteers collected five bags of trash, gathered three large tubs of recyclable materials, and planted two new flower beds at the site entrance. These efforts contributed to a cleaner, greener, and more inviting space, while also reinforcing the importance of responsible environmental practices.
The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen connections across teams. An on-site organic açaí bowl food truck added an element of celebration, giving employees a chance to enjoy a well-earned treat while reflecting on the impact of their work and the value of coming together as a community.
Moments like these demonstrate how collective action can drive meaningful results. At Apex, the commitment to sustainability and giving back is not limited to a single day. It is part of a broader culture that encourages employees to take initiative and make a difference. Earth Day served as a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when people unite around a common purpose.
