Creating a positive impact extends beyond the work we do for our customers. Through NovantaCARES, our employees dedicate their time and energy to supporting the communities where we live and work.
During the first half of the year, our team in Wackersdorf, Germany, completed five volunteer initiatives focused on community support, environmental stewardship, and local partnerships. Each activity demonstrated the values that guide our culture and our commitment to making a difference together.
A longstanding example is our partnership with the Perschen Open-Air Museum. Employees volunteer to help maintain and restore the site’s barefoot trail, a project that has become a tradition for the team. Even in challenging weather conditions, volunteers continue to show the dedication and teamwork that make these efforts successful.
The team also supported the Schwandorf food bank (Tafel), helping sort and distribute food for individuals and families in need. These experiences provide a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community while reinforcing the importance of empathy with service.
Environmental responsibility is another important focus. Through an annual clean-up initiative, employees help improve local public spaces while contributing to broader sustainability efforts. The activity aligns with the spirit of Earth Day and demonstrates how collective action can create lasting benefits for the community.
Beyond organized volunteer events, employees also pursue individual acts of service. From helping maintain local playgrounds to supporting other community needs, these efforts reflect a culture where responsibility and care extend beyond the workplace.
Over the years, the Wackersdorf team has become a trusted partner to local organizations. Those relationships continue to inspire new opportunities to serve and create meaningful impact.
