Recognition comes in many forms. Sometimes, it arrives in the shape of a scoop of ice cream shared with coworkers on a summer afternoon.
On July 14, our teams in Ludwigsstadt and Sonneberg, Germany, came together to celebrate a successful second quarter with a special treat from a nearby organic farm known throughout the region for its handcrafted ice cream.
The event was organized by our ERG team as a thank you from Hardy Gaschler, operations leader, to employees for their outstanding contributions during Q2. While the ice cream was certainly appreciated, the day was really about recognizing the people behind our success.
One aspect that stood out to me was the effort to include employees at both locations. To ensure everyone could participate, Hardy personally transported ice cream to the Sonneberg site so employees there could enjoy the experience alongside their colleagues in Ludwigsstadt.
The afternoon provided an opportunity for employees to step away from their daily routines and celebrate what we had accomplished together. Those moments of appreciation help build stronger teams and remind us that business results are driven by people.
We know that innovation and customer success begin with engaged employees who bring their dedication and energy to work every day. Taking time to celebrate achievements, whether through major milestones or simple acts of gratitude, helps reinforce the culture that makes those successes possible.
