Robust Angular Position Measurement for Extreme Environments
Shaft IncOder features robust inductive sensor technology within a universal 58mm shaft rotary encoder package. The Shaft IncOder sensor is fully shielded from the external environments making it the most robust absolute inductive sensor available. With a robust integral bearing design, customers can easily migrate from their existing rotary encoder to a design that is inherently robust in both mechanical design and sensor technology.
IncOders are ideally suited to harsh environments – where potentiometers, optical or capacitive devices may prove unreliable.

Universal Mechanical Design
Although Shaft IncOder features unique patented inductive technology, its mechanical design is universal enabling customers to easily swap out other common rotary encoders. Each sensor features a standard 58mm precision machined aluminium housing, with a range of shaft and hub shaft rotor interfaces, sized from 3 – 10 mm.
With Servo Clamp and Screw Mount mechanical mounting format options available, customers have the flexibility to select the appropriate installation method and fit..

Simple Integration and Installation
Shaft IncOder inductive angle encoders incorporate integral bearings, eliminating the need for precise alignment between sensing elements. With multiple shaft and hub‑shaft rotor interface options, Shaft IncOder units can be configured to suit a wide range of coupling arrangements.
A variety of interface choices further simplifies system integration. Shaft IncOder can be supplied with numerous cable and connector configurations, offered in axial, vertical, or radial orientations. Communication options include BiSS‑C, SSI, SPI, Asynchronous Serial, and ABZ outputs, allowing flexibility across different control systems with resolution up to 20 bits.
