Industry leading spindles in the electrostatic automotive coating industry.

Perfect Atomization. Exceptional Balance.
Coating atomizer spindles demand extraordinary rotational balance to achieve uniform spray patterns and material efficiency. Westwind air bearing spindles provide vibration-free rotation for precision coating applications across automotive, industrial, and advanced surface finishing environments.
With near-zero mechanical contact, the air bearing design delivers ultra-smooth rotation, minimal vibration transmission, and consistent atomisation quality. The result is improved coating uniformity, optimised material usage, and superior surface finish.
Precision rotation translates directly to surface perfection.

Reliability in Demanding Environments
Coating systems often operate in harsh conditions involving solvents, particulates, and fluctuating duty cycles. Air bearing spindles eliminate grease and oil contamination risks while maintaining high-speed stability and thermal consistency.
This non-contact design extends operational life, reduces maintenance intervals, and preserves dynamic balance even under demanding production conditions. Performance remains stable — even when the environment is not.

Engineered for Integration
Compact housing design, optimised airflow management, and robust mechanical construction allow seamless integration into robotic and automated coating systems.
Westwind’s decades of application expertise ensure every coating atomizer spindle is engineered not just for rotational speed, but for long-term process efficiency and system-level stability.
